I got bit with the otaku senshi bug again a few weeks ago...and felt like continuing my death/funeral themed senshi (like Libitina and Anubis)
She's probably going to be the second to last that I create. Here's Sailor Azrael - based off of the Archangel of Death. I wanted to have a little fun with her design; she HAD to have wings but I didnt want to make them obnoxious like I've seen people do before. I also really wanted her to have a halo, but I made it look like a shining stained glass window :3 You'd be surprised on how little Christian art there is of Azrael...but the ones I found s/he was shown in a brown or reddish/burgundy robe - so I used both colors in her fuku. I also gave her a bit of armor. I wanted her to be glove-less and barefoot. I also knew right off the bat I didnt want her to have a freakin scythe. TOO CLICHE!!! We're too good for that XD I'll admit, I've no clue what kind of RoI she's gonna have yet XD or what her title is going to be. I'm also considering this a "warm up" for two commissions I have that are pretty much almost done @_@ She's just what I've been working on between breaks. - - Sailormoon - Naoko Takeuchi Sailor Azrael - moi |
